Welcome to the Shadow Wars Universe.  I am Captain Gaheris Anasazi.  Here things are a little different from what you might be used to.  In this universe there are several factions and cultures mixed together.  For example, not only does Starfleet have to deal with the Romulas and Cardassians and the Jem'Hadar and so on, we also have to deal with the Imperial Empire, the Cylons, the Invid and more.  But that is just the beginning.  There's a lot more going on according to Starfleet Intellignce.  But that's a whole different story.  I'm getting a little ahead of myself here.  Being out on the front lines for so long you get used being in a fast pace.  So take a little bit of time and look around.  After you have had a chance to look around and you want to join there will be an application you can fill out.  Once you fill out the application Starfleet Command will look it over and contact you.  Good luck.
